Things to Know:

Transportation Service- Transportation is provided on a non-emergency basis only.

Scheduling- We are a Demand Response Service. We ask that reservations be made 24 hours in advance. Same day trips can be added if space is available on our Schedule. We also ask/recommend that all out of town trips be scheduled 48+ hours in advance.

Seat Belts-Seat belts are to be worn at all times in the public passenger vehicles. The driver and passengers must both wear seat belts.

Oxygen Tanks- Passengers are permitted to take their oxygen tanks on the FCPT vans.

Personal Care Attendants- Personal care attendants for a passenger ride free with Franklin County Public Transportation.

Standees- Standees are permitted on lifts

Service Animals- Service animals will be permitted to ride the van with their owner.

Pets- Pets are allowed to ride in the van as long as they are restrained or in a pet carrier.

Eating/Drinking- Prohibited in all vehicles unless medically necessary.

Tobacco- Smoking or using tobacco products is prohibited on vehicles.

Drivers- All drivers are required to have a “For Hire” driver’s license. The drivers are required to be courteous to passengers at all times. The drivers are capable and responsible people. Please treat them with the respect they deserve.

Gleaners Food Bank - The 4th Wednesday of every month Gleaners Food Bank sends a truck to the Franklin County Senior Center offering boxed meat and vegetables to those residents of Franklin County who are 55 and older. Hours are 10:00 am to 11:00 am or while supplies last.

Franklin County Public Transportation will observe the following holidays (if a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the following Monday):

New Year’s Eve- December 31st

New Year’s Day- January 1st

Good Friday - Half Day - March/April depending on Calendar Year

Memorial Day- last Monday in May

Independence Day- July 4th

Labor Day- 1st Monday in September

Thanksgiving- 4th Thursday in November (closed Thursday and Friday)

Christmas Eve- December 24th

Christmas Day- December 25th
